A Show Of Diversity at LEC ‘International Night’ Dinner

IPOH: Dressed to the nines, guests who attended Lee Eye Centre (LEC) annual dinner looked stunning in dresses of all sorts while the men looked well groomed to enjoy an evening packed with fabulous food and fantastic entertainment.
Held at Syuen Hotel, Ipoh it was a night to remember as everyone dressed up to the theme ‘International Night’ donning costumes representing countries like Thailand, India, China and Germany, the Oktoberfest girl.
Besides the spectacular nine course dinner with free flow of red wine and liquors, guests were also entertained with line-up of oldies and modern contemporary songs by Ipoh’s local buskers.
The night started with opening speech by LEC Chairman, Datuk Dr Y.C. Lee who expressed his grattitude to those that have been supporting their establishment since its opening in 1974.
“Tonight, it is about us saying thank you to all the guests who keep on believing in LEC, be if our employees, affiliates, business partners and friends.
“We humbly believes that we will never be able to thrive to what we are today if it wasn’t for every spoken and unspoken help from all of you,” he said.
The event also saw LEC’s self-designed ‘Miss Universe’ contest where 10 finalists were judged for their international-themed dress to bag for the Best Costume Award.
The night became livelier when guests cheered up the ‘Miss Universe’ contestants when they paraded down the catwalk with their best outfits.
Winners walked away with prizes of home electrical appliances.
Among the VIP was state Health Exco, Datuk Dr Mah Hang Soon.
Established in 1974 by the then young ophthalmologist, Dr Y.C. Lee. It was in 1999 he decided to expand it into group practice.
The clinic is known to be the pioneer and largest private clinic providing general and specialist eye care in the state which operates from a three- storey buildings situated at Persiaran Greenhill.
